The Steel City
Crafted as a “contemporary classic,”
this ambitious instrument draws inspiration from the timeless archtops of the late 1920’s through 1950’s. By incorporating elements from these traditional designs, I’ve created a fresh and innovative instrument that maintains a connection to its historical roots.
However, the true standout feature of this instrument lies in its tone. Meticulously crafted from the inside out, it is modeled after the rich and resonant sound of the renowned late 20s and early 30s Gibson L-5. Typically braced in an old school A-bracing pattern this is a bright, snappy, quick guitar with a suprising amount of depth and balance.
If you are looking for a handcarved archtop guitar that shines as an acoustic, reminisent of the old days of archtops but with modern inovation this is definately the model we should start talking about.
